Here are some tips on
how to wear strapless sandals.
- Strapless sandals
stick to your feet via a non-toxic glue - the rubber of the sandal has
been impregnated with an adhesive that sticks to the bottom of your
foot. Just step onto the Strapless sandal and go! The strapless
sandals remain on your feet until the adhesive become too dirty and
loses its "stickiness." The bottom of the sandal has a non-slip surface
(but no adhesive on the bottom, of course!).
- When strapless sandals
become too dirty, clean them with soap and water. If you've had sand on
your strapless sandals, you may need a stiff brush to remove the grains.
Allow the sandals to (air) dry completely. Before putting them back on
again, make sure that your own feet are clean and dry. When putting
them on after a Pedicure, just make sure the feet are dried with a towel
to remove excess oil or cream. No need to wash the feet. If the feet
slips off the sole, just wash the sole with water, dry the shoe, dry the
feet a bit more and stick again. Washing your strapless sandals
regularly increases the life span of the adhesive.
- 3. Strapless sandals
create no tan lines. Though you'll have to tread carefully if you're
trying to avoid tan lines on other parts of your body, when it comes to
your feet, strapless sandals provide a perfectly legal opportunity to go
"topless." This makes them ideal for poolside or beach fun.
- 4. Other great places
to wear strapless sandals. Since strapless sandals are portable and easy
to take off and put on, they work well in the following circumstances:
- Airport security
- Locker rooms (avoid
athlete's foot and plantar warts)
- Shopping (think easy
on and off)
- Camping
- Spray-on tanning
treatments
- Pedicures
- Travelling in Japan
(where it is the custom to remove one's shoes. Without straps or "toe
thingies" that might chafe your foot, you don't need to size strapless
sandals quite as precisely as you do more standard sandals.
- Strapless sandals are
made in unique colors and designs.
- Strapless sandals are
removed by peeling them off the foot. Beginning from the outside edge,
slowly peel the sandal off. There is no sticky residue left on the
foot.
- Wearing for the first
time, they feel strange for the first moment. Then you don't even notice
them on your feet. Over time, strapless sandals mould to your feet,
becoming a custom-fit sandal.
- NEVER stick
Strapless Sandal face to face!
- For storing put the
protective plastic back on the surface of the Strapless Sandals.
Perhaps the only downside
to strapless sandals is the fact that walking in them takes some getting
used to, but once you got the knack of it, chances are you'll be a
strapless sandal convert, too.
