Kei-apples are an indigenous fruit of South Africa with a very sour taste and therefore sugar are normally added to make it tastier. The Kei-apple Jelly has a very unique and flavourful sweet & sour taste and are great with meats as well as a jam.
I make jams/preserves with produce from the farm and since we are starting small I only make small batches.
Kei Apples are a seasonal fruit and once all is sold we’ll have to wait to harvest again in summer.
Ingredients: Kei-apple, Sugar, Water (used to cook kei-apples)
